Personal Statement

20230203_234220554_iOS 1_edited.jpg

My name is Paola M. Delarosa-Lloret, and I bring over two decades of military leadership and human resources experience to my evolving role as an instructional designer. From leading high-performing teams in dynamic, high-stakes environments to managing talent development strategies across diverse organizations, my journey has always been grounded in purpose, precision, and people.

I am married to my best friend, Francisco, who is also in the service. Together, we have three amazing children: Isabella, Alexander, and Frankie. We are close to being empty nesters and looking forward to that next chapter. I am an introvert by nature, but I am perfectly comfortable being extroverted when the situation calls for it.

Pursuing my M.S. in Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation has been a transformative chapter in my career. It has allowed me to integrate my operational expertise with research-based instructional practices, preparing me to create learning experiences that are not only effective but also meaningful.

This portfolio is more than a collection of coursework—it's a reflection of my growth, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement. Each project highlights a key aspect of my evolving practice: identifying performance gaps, designing learner-centered solutions, and leading with empathy and intention. My goal is to bring these values into every design challenge, whether in support of the Department of Defense or a forward-thinking organization in the private sector.

Looking ahead, I am excited to continue growing in this field, contribute to impactful learning solutions, and support the next generation of leaders. I invite you to explore my work and connect with me as I transition into this next chapter—with curiosity, clarity, and purpose.
