IDE 712 - Analysis for Human Performance Technology Decisions

In IDE 712, I developed advanced performance analysis and needs assessment skills, focusing on Front-End Analysis (FEA). Using Human Performance Technology (HPT) models, I learned how to identify root causes of performance problems, determine whether training is appropriate, and recommend targeted interventions. My team created a detailed FEA plan for a simulated organization, drawing from multiple data sources including environmental scanning, interviews, and extant data. This course reinforced the importance of diagnosing before designing and taught me how to align performance solutions with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
