Course Description

Grade: A

This course provided a theoretical foundation in how people learn and how instruction can be designed to support that learning. We explored behaviorism, cognitivism, and social learning theory—not just as abstract concepts, but through practical application in instructional design. A key component was building a digital knowledge base that included infographics, learning scenarios, observation checklists, and written reflections for each learning theory. We ended the course with a thought paper and oral presentation that connected our evolving learning philosophy to real-world design decisions. This course helped me clarify how theory informs practice and shaped how I approach learner-centered design.
