This course examines the global application of instructional design principles and educational technologies, with a focus on the cultural, political, and regional influences they entail. The course emphasizes the role of emerging technologies, specifically artificial intelligence (AI), in shaping educational innovation across international contexts. A central component of the course is the development of a book chapter that analyzes the adoption, implementation strategies, and challenges of AI within a selected country. Students investigate regional policies, initiatives, and sociocultural considerations, and propose context-specific, technology-based solutions tailored to their specific needs. The course also develops consulting and problem-solving skills necessary for working effectively on international education projects.
