Capstone Project

This capstone project represents not only the skills and knowledge I have gained throughout the IDD&E program at Syracuse University but also my personal growth as an instructional designer. The unit, Moving Beyond the Annual Review: Coaching for Continuous Growth, addresses a real-world challenge I have observed in leadership settings: the overreliance on annual performance reviews and the need for more frequent, meaningful coaching conversations. Through this self-paced unit, supervisors learn how to apply the CLEAR model to foster trust, encourage employee growth, and improve team performance.​

Throughout the design and development process, I also applied the skills I had gained by using a variety of software, programs, and creative tools, integrating multimedia, interactive simulations, and well-structured instructional materials to create a cohesive learning experience. On this page, you will find my instructional design process, facilitator and learner guides, and a reflection journal that captures my journey through this project. Designing this unit allowed me to integrate theory, practice, and creativity, and I am proud to share it as a capstone.
