IDE 761 - Strategies in Educational Project Management

Video created using Canva.

Course Description

Grade: A

This course taught me how to manage instructional design projects using a structured five-phase project management framework from planning to closure. I worked in a team to develop a complete project management plan, including a charter, work breakdown structure (WBS), Gantt chart, risk matrix, and quality assurance measures. We then delivered a 10-minute digital presentation summarizing our plan, emphasizing how we addressed scope, timeline, and resource constraints while maintaining quality. The course also emphasized leadership, communication, and variance tracking. It gave me the tools and structure to confidently lead complex educational projects with clarity and accountability.
